IALT: Write about my challenge 
I used my writing plan in my green book and my memory to help me.
It was hard for me to think about my challenge, it was easy to write about my challenge in my plan. I was planning from my memory this is something that really happened in my life. I used my green book to help me complete my writing.

IALT: Find and use different types of hooks

I used some books and novels to complete half of my slide, then I wrote the title of the book in the remaining parts of the slide show. Lastly wrote what I thought it was in the rest of the slideshow.




I learned that there are different types of hooks, I never noticed that there were different types of hooks.  It looked hard but then I found out that it was easier than expected. I used a few books to help me complete this slideshow.

IALT: Use a venn diagram

IALT: Use a venn diagram, it was something new for me because I've never tried it before. I was gathering information re-reading books to refresh my mind. I learned how to use a venn diagram, to be honest it was easier than I thought.The easy part was gathering the information and putting it in the circle. The hard part was to understand how to use it properly and think of some answers to but in the middle.

I just got the help from my friend for me to complete the work and I got some advice from my teacher.

using TEEEL got my work done faster. I also used  the writing structure we have on our wall to help me finish my writing.

IALT: Solve Multiplication problems by using place value as well as another strategy

Whilst completing my maths slideshow I was getting help by my teacher Miss Avern /Sally. She only helped me with the slides that I was stuck on so she gave me some advice on how to complete it.



 After getting help I learned how to do this no sweat. Slide 3 the last question was my hardest and confusing slide that I read, but yet again I did get help so now I know how to solve problems like this. I learned how to complete this as soon as my teacher gave me an example.

I used this template (Look down) to help me write my "letter" to my reader which is my audience.

I learned how to make this by getting help from my teacher: Sally, at the start I had no idea what I had to do so I asked her for help and I finished it (Obliviously.)

IAL: About water safety



IAL: About water safety
Rooms 10 & 11 went in separate groups at different times to go to the pools. Our instructors sometimes gave us seals to get underwater without touching the floor. I learned that when you get stranded out in sea you use your clothes to survive by floating on the surface and that when there are more people with you like other crew members, you kick around to make waves but you have to be linked in a circle. I think the hard part was not touching the ground if I had to swim on my stomach I'm better on my back rather than on my front.

 Because I don't have any photos of the actual swimming lessons I just used a swimming pool one off the internet.

Sharing fractions

IALT: Find fractions using multiplication and sharing
The whole of room 11 had to make a video of how to find 3/4s of 16.
I couldn't upload the video at first so my friend Terina helped me upload it.



The easy part was the fact that I already knew what to do after our tutorial video that my teacher Miss Avern did. I think the hardest part was teaching myself how to use the tools on the website I did the learning on, since it was new to me I played around with it in the weekends.

Water cycle writing

WALT: Making an informative diagram. This term we are learning about the water cycle.




The hard part was learning the definitions of the words, but the easiest part was putting the information in and looking for the pictures. Before going rogue and doing it by ourself we had to talk about it, in our writing groups. After one big and helpful discussion we get our books/ Peice of paper and start planning. We came up with something different but this is what I came up with.

Why we should we keep trees


WALT: Write an argument.
We read books about the subject, we planned about what we were going to rant about. Last but not least we obliviously wrote about it. 

I learned about how to write an argument and why it's bad to cut down trees. Also how to check my own work. ( The words that are highlighted in Blue the thesis statement/I believe. The paragraph highlighted in green is the explanation of the main idea which is highlighted in red.)

can you answer my questions?

WALT: Ask ourselves questions to understand out reading and to learn more about the book.

These are my questions, Screenshotting is too hard so I thought I'd type it in a different color instead.( Not copy and pasted)

1.How does the doctor know that he'll grow?
Because he knew that his growth hormones 
2.What is premature 
Born earlier than expected to be born 
3.Why is the story called small?
Because thats what the story about.(The main character is small)
4. Why does his friends bully him?
Maybe because he's different than them or shorter
5.Why is getting clothes a pain for him
Maybe because it's not his style
6.How come  when he runs it feels like he's running fast as?
Because  he's running as fast as he can.
7.Why doesn't he want to be treated like the little brother if his sister  grows taller 
he'll be embarrassed when everyone calls her the older one and they call him the younger brother even though he is older.
8.Why is he good at hide and seek?
Since he is small he can fit his body in a small places
9.Why is the clothes he get not his style
He wants his clothes to be like his friends 10.Is his head really as small as an orange?
I think so 11.What's wrong with his growth hormones?
He was born too early and something went wrong with his growth hormones in his birth.

The questions were hard to think of so I needed to work with some of my friends so they could help me with the questions.

Use the force

'     WAL about forces.
We watched video's about the four forces of flight, we flew paper planes to test out our opinion, we talked about it and lastly but most obviously we wrote about it.

 


I learnt while writing that motion there is movement and when there is balance there is no motion and that friction equals less motion, Miss Avern did demonstrations as well as the whole class, we talked about what forces was working on the paper plane. Then we brainstormed our ideas. I thought that writing the forces was the easiest and the hard part was adding examples.



While writing this doc I learned more about gravity and Friction, since I thought I knew a lot about gravity I learned more than I knew before.
